My family started using essential oils in 2013. TBH I was the biggest skeptic (IMO) but I am also open-minded. I do not remember having an “AHA” moment with how effective and amazing essential oils are but it didn’t take me long to know that they work.
I have this one particular kind of a migraine and the only thing I have found to help is 2-4 drops of peppermint essential oil in a hot cup of water, inhaled for a few minutes and later drunk (I first found this out by using it as a last resort after trying other things that I don’t remember now).
I cannot take Sudafed or some other OTCs because I start having panic attacks/shortness of breath. I have heard that’s common for Sudafed but the OTCs I’m not sure why. I’d like to know but I prefer to avoid panic attacks. I can use essential oils like Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint, Melaleuca (tea tree), OnGaurd (immune blend), Breathe (respiratory blend) and DigestZen (digestive blend) to experience similar benefits without panic attacks. There are also oils I like to use to help my panic attacks: Breathe, Lavender, Balance, whatever I have on hand.
Essential oils are natural, safe, affordable, and effective.
Essential Oils can be used for mood management, boosting the immune system, clearing or brightening skin, aids in good sleep, supporting productivity/focus, helps the digestive system, helps balance the metabolic system (ie blood sugar levels) and more. These are just the ones I could think of.
If you’re a little “whaaaa???” about this read my post about quality here or read my post about how to use essential oils here. Still, have questions? Please ask them. We are revitalizing a way of healthcare – there are no stupid questions (for once, sometimes there are).
Essential oils are plant essence. The chemicals essential oils have are the ones that keep plants healthy. Essential oils work with our bodies because we are made up of the same stuff as plants, carbon.
Some essential oils that may be labelled as “%100 pure and natural” may actually not be. This is not something regulated or checked by the FDA. So, some essential oils can be very little essential oil and a lot of synthetic filler.
“There are no side effects, only side benefits!” I do not know who said that first but it’s true. Follow proper guidelines (basically do not use too much oil at once) and always check that an essential oil is safe to take internally before doing so. (If it does not have a supplements facts box – it’s not.)
You can use an essential oil like lavender for a burn and at the same time also experience its calming emotional benefits.
Essential oils can be used for multiple things which makes them more affordable. What makes them more amazing is how they become affordable. You only use a 1-3 drops of an essential oil at a time.
A 15mL bottle of Peppermint Essential Oil costs $27.33 at retail and $20.50 at wholesale. At retail the price per drop is $0.11 and at wholesale the price per drop is $0.08.
A 15mL bottle of Frankincense Essential Oil costs $90.67 at retail and $68.00 at wholesale. At retail the price per drop is $0.36 and at wholesale the price per drop is $0.27.
Side Note: if you are getting the same oils for less costs, are they really pure? where do they come from? is everyone getting a living wage?
Wait, you’re telling me they actually work?
Essential oils are effective because they work at the cellular level. They can pass through the cell membrane and actually work with your cells. Frankincense can even pass through the brain barrier which makes it great for neurological support.
